Cannot access My MSN page the last 36 hours. I get the message "Your request could not be processed at this time, please refresh this page  or try again later."  Any suggestions/help appreciated!

I've also been having this problem for the past few days. I figured it would clear up on its own, but hasn't thus far. I rely on MyMSN for weather, hotmail & other news all in one spot. *frustrated* I haven't changed anything, but do use Firefox (have for a long time with no issues before). It works fine in Internet Explorer... however, all the other sites & apps I use I HATE in Internet Explorer. Not sure if I should report this issue to Firefox or here, but here it is.

Same problem here!!

Have been having this problem for the last 48 hours. Am tempted to change my home page to Yahoo or Google. MSN doesn't even bother to let people know when there are problems.

I finally found a solution that worked for me. I have AdBlockPlus, and had to disable it for My.MSN.com & refresh the page a couple of times. Strange that it was not a problem until 3 days ago--hope it helps some of the rest of you!

T5hat worked but I cannot figure out wht. I have had adblock for a couple of years and never had that happen before.

I've used MyMSN for years; now, all of a sudden, I can't get it to display. If I have to disable my host file or other security/ad-blocking protection to have the honor of viewing the website, then I'm done. Too bad for MSN.

Something is amiss at Microsoft. I have also had problems accessing MSN as well as other MS sites.I have experience an unprecedented amount of "page could not found" in past week. Most noteable is a Remote Assitant link that I generated myself. The link is (http://windows.microsoft.com/RemoteAssistance/RA.asp. I have used Remote Assistant many times in the past and this is the first time I have ever had any problem. I tried opening the link in XP Pro SP3 and Windows 7 RC2 Build 7600 and the results is always the same. I get to Microsoft presumeablely http://windows.microsoft.com/RemoteAssistance, but it never accesses the RA.asp (the active server page never executes).I don'thave a clue as to what is happening at Microsoft, but there is something diffenitely wrong.

I have had the same problem over the last 2 months. About 75% of the time I get the "could not procesas" response and the other times it works normally. I am not using an ad blocker and have not changed my other anti-malware software. I use Zonelabs Security suite.

I would also say that I have been having this problem over the past 2 months or so. I have turned off my Hosts file etc. and sometimes I believe that it the answer but now I am beginning to believe it is something else.I think that something on our Home Page is causing problems. I have Stocks listed that sometimes do not load properly and NY Times, AP Headlines, MSNBC Top Stories along with several Reuters News windows that load on my page. Also have 35 Favorites. Not sure which one or possibly more than one could be the cause.I really believe that the problem lies within Microsoft's Servers. I notice the problem seems to occur more frequently during busy times of the day and less often on weekends.Just some food for thought because I am not able to pin it down to anyone issue.Zach

Same for me. I have gotten the "Your request could not be processed at this time, please try again later." intermittently for about a month. In the last 5 days the only way I can get my home page is to log out - then log back in. NOT good.
November 23rd, 2009 10:19pm

I too have had this problem for about 5 days. Signing out and then deleting all cookies would log me in once, as soon as I navigated away and then returned I got the error. Today I went on to a different problem (you know the one where you can't use spell check in Outlook Express with XP) Instead of copying the "csapi3t1.dll" file from my other machine I simply copied the entire "Microsoft Shared" folder from the C:\Program Files\Common Files location. Guess what? miraculously the problem with my.msn is gone. Messed up before copying and fixed after copying! Hmmm which file could have fixed it? VGX's? VBA's? I don't know, not adept enough. Maybe someone can take this and run with it!

I've been encountering this message sporadically in the past as well. Usually clicking on the refresh link worked to bring the customized page up. However, for the past 3 days or so that has not worked. What just did work was temporarily disabling the "Anti-Banner" (ads) component of my firewall, Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 2010, then refreshing the page, then re-enabling Anti-Banner. Worked for both IE8 and Firefox 3.5.6. My O/S is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I suspect that either MSN or one of the Kaspersky database updates has tweaked something that is causing the site to not display properly if ads are disabled. Just guessing. And wondering how long, or how often, this "workaround" will work or need to be reapplied. So far the page is displaying okay after closing and restarting IE8. Haven't tried a reboot yet to see what happens. And since I'm using Firefox to type this I haven't tried restarting Firefox to see if it sticks, but I imagine it will probably be okay; but not sure about the next reboot or hibernate cycle, just have to wait and see.EDIT: Just rebooted. My customized MSN home page came up fine in both IE8 and Firefox. Closed both browsers and ran lastest version of CCleaner. Restarted both IE8 and Firefox and the home page was still fine. And without having to fiddle with the ad-blocking component. Here's hoping it continues to stick.EDIT2: How weird. Just as soon as I submitted the edit above in Firefox the page wouldn't refresh/update and when I opened a new tab, going to MSN home page, I got the "Your request could not be processed at this time, please refesh this page or try again later" display again. Opened up IE8 and same thing. Had to disable the ad-blocking again to get the home page to display properly. Certainly looks like MSN does NOT want the display of its ads to be interfered with.

I've been experiencing this problem for about the same amount of time as everyone else. Why do you suppiose Microsoft isn't responding to these issues? (That may be a dumb question, but I wouldn't mind input.)

I've been having this issue for over a week now. I can get to MSN's generic homepage and set it for my local area. But I can't get my custom MY MSN to come up. I get that goofy error message. I've tried the refresh, but that gets me nowhere. I asked some advice from a social type Yahoo group I belong too. I got suggestions to turn off my Norton Antivirus. I tried that but it did not help. I tried sending an e--mail/filling out a form with MSN, I never heard back from them. I share everyone's frustration. Has anyone gotten any farther or heard anything else?

I'm still having this problem. I'm using the new MSN template as my homepage, but I can't personalize it like I had the MYMSN personalized, and everytime I go to the MYMSN page, I'm still stuck with that error message. Gee I wish someone had an answer. You'd think someone at MSN would have an answer to a problem with one of their own products.
April 22nd, 2010 11:16pm

I have this problem. It started several months ago. Unfortunately, the "help" I received after reporting the problem was from an individual who was woefully ill-prepared to handle this issue. The advice I was given ranged from a registry fix to uninstalling and reinstalling a possibly corrupt IE8. This advice was provided in spite of the fact that I had carefully explained that the issue occurred not just with IE8, and not just on one computer, but with other browsers as well, and while using five different computers utilizing three different operating systems. After reiterating that it was highly unlikely that I would have a corrupted installation of IE8 on five different machines, or that a corrupt IE8 would have an impact on other browsers, the next and final solution I was offered? Contact the IE support team, even though my problem obviously was not related to IE. In short, he just didn't have an answer and wanted to pass the buck elsewhere. This left me with only one viable solution... change my home page.

NonSuch, I agree with your story also and I had even had the same problem using Firefox as a browser. I am using IE8 as my default browser presently and still from time to time have the same old message. The problem seems to be random hours and ramdom days. For awhile I thought it was my AD blocker which I use HostMan; but I have not been able to attribute the pattern of failures to even that! The only other thing that I can think of is Internet Congestion and MS servers being busy. Zach

Zach, I can't access MY MSN at all, with any browser on any computer. As it's something that it would appear is not going to be resolved, I have reached the point where the effort required to pursue this issue is just not worth it.

abcdarian: Same here. I run WebRoot, Security Essentials, and Spotmau. Well, at least for two months now and no problems. Also, the IE8 pop-up blocker was off at the time the message came up ""Your request could not be processed at this time, please refresh this pageor try again later."

ABQResident:Just got the messageYour request could not be processed at this time, please refresh this pageor try again later.and hey, if I have to disable any of the stuff I use; Spotmau and WebRoot then I guess I will be done too. I am sick of this ____. I uninstalled Live entirely from my machine because I keep getting this error that is about 4 years old. Support allows this posting by someone pretty adept with DOS/Command Prompt and tells you what to do. Hey wait a minute. For thirty years Microsoft has been doing everything they can to get users away from DOS (not training or certification availabe for DOS) and use the GUI. But Live is saying use the Command Prompt to fix an issue they ought to have fixed themselves!!I m calling my telephone provider (I use dialj-up connection) and talk with MSN and ask them are they going to fix this NOW or do I cancel MSN?
